CarPlan Triplewax Shampoo

Featured Replies

I have used  this for many years but is it any good?

It'll do a perfectly good job of washing the car....quality-wise on a par with Turtle Wax and other mass-market products.

Not really up to the grade of more specialist products...which DO cost a lot more.

Triplewax Shampoo, the number 1 selling shampoo. Triplewax Shampoo cuts through all types of dirt and grime, leaving a brilliant shine. Triplewax not only washes away dirt easily, it guarantees a spotless, streak free, shiny surface fully prepared for waxing.

Skodapants have you ever had any problems with it? I find it really reliable, a good staple for my garage.

Interesting.....Francis81 is in Manchester....Car Plan's bulk manufacturing is located in Manchester....Just saying.

Its OK...but there are much better out there

I use Megs Gold Class...2.5 litres can last months because you need far less than Triplewax shampoo

Carplan/Triplewax/T-cut is made by Tetrosyl based up very near to where I am sat right now and even closer to our Companies head offices in Bury

None of the stuff is terrible albeit aimed at a mass market - but then again as with beer, if you drink enough fosters you'll get drunk but others might find it's a more pleasant experience drinking a fine Belgian Microbrewery's Finest Craft Lager.

That said carplan also have some pretty good products for the money, I really rate their Rapid Dirt Shifter as a budget pre-wash/degreaser type product.

I'm sure at least a few on here would agree that in reality the product used contributes no more than 25% to the finish achieved on the car, the correct use of technique and tools and a healthy understanding of the products used and fundamentals of good detailing is far more important.

These products tend to receive more detailing snobbery and derision because 90% of the time they are used by people who know precious little about good car cleaning.  I've seen some threads online where people have elicited tremendous results detailing cars using the most budget of products from ranges like 'Astonish' and other 99p a bottle brands.

Of course there are better products out there - this is truly a hobby where you can spend as much as you like http://www.performancemotorcare.com/car-cleaning-product-news/worlds-most-expensive-car-wax/1808

The £100,000 detailing will do me.

I always use Carplan Triplewax. It's always on special offer in Asda :)

I find with this though you have to add more shampoo compared to Turtle Wax which bubbles more with less. I have also used recently Shells own brand and found that better than the above 2 and a nice Lemon smell :)

But at £4.99 for 500ml it's a crazy price :(
