Had a search on here and the previous flapping flap posts got quite a laugh, I'm looking forward to a laugh but would also appreciate a bit of help or advice cheers.

 

First noticed it a few days ago, heater was on and the flaps just seemed to randomly switch to blowing upwards/downwards/mid position.

 

It only seems to do it when the engine is hot, while warming up it does not do it (as yet).

 

I did the flap reset as described on here with engine off, it did a bit of whirring and then stopped, upon later testing the problem was the same.

 

Octavia is 140CR SE with manual air con, 43k miles and 5 days out of warranty. Thanks for looking.

Try complaining to the dealer if it is only 5 days out of warranty. Failing that see if there is anyone with VCDS who can scan the car for faults.
