Dash Command

Featured Replies

Anyone here used the Dash Command app from the App Store? Seems to be an Apple version or the Torque app on Android.

Works with a Bluetooth ODB adaptor apparently.

Just looking into it myself as it also works on my Pioneer AppRadio apparently.

Also if someone could link me to a decent Bluetooth ODB adaptor that would be great!

I have it. Using it with an elm327 wifi obd interface. Search eBay.

I use it for logging and as a general obd scanner for none vag cars.

How do you rate it Faboka? Is it accurate?

The readings from the ecu are accurate. The mpg reading isn't as it calculated.

Only problem which isn't a limitation of dashcommand but more the ecu protocol is shows too much info, you can a delay in response as the sample rate it poor.

But generally it's great for what I use it for. Showing intake, fuel and coolant temps are fine. Boost is fine but it can only read upto 1.55 bar.

Does anyone have a link to the elm327 they use?

Just search ebay

Ok thanks

Awesome thanks Lee :)

I have a bluetooth one here you can have, just cover postage.  I bought the wi fi version as the phone in the car works on BT.

Thanks for the offer James, but I just ordered one :)

I will take it to Castle Combe if anybody else wants it in exchange for a cup of tea.

That will work

Thanks James.

just plug it in and link to the phone.

Dash Command for iPhone or Torque for Android (I happen to prefer Torque but have an iPhone so use DC)

I'm hoping this will connect to my Pioneer AppRadio via Bluetooth and show all the date on the touchscreen.

I received my obd reader today, plugged it in but it hasn't been recognised :( will have another play in a little bit before the drive home.

Which one did you get? Charlie isn't it?

The one Lee01 linked to. Just tried again and my iPad could not find the damn thing via Bluetooth. My brothers android phone picked it up straight away, so I think I will donate it to him :(

Does anyone have a link to one that will definitely work with an iPad.

Yes I am Charlie :)

Thanks John, just ordered that one.

Take 2

You need a wifi elm for the iPad or iPhone I ended up with both Bluetooth and wifi.

Thanks for that Dave! That's what I was hoping I could do.
