Is this a common problem? My brothers fr Ibiza is eating coolant and all his lights and electrics have gone screwy. He said his light lense has partially melted. Advise please?

Is this a common problem? My brothers fr Ibiza is eating coolant and all his lights and electrics have gone screwy. He said his light lense has partially melted. Advise please?

 

 

Has he checked all the pipework to check for leaks?  Has he changed the gasket? if so did he fit new head bolts and tighten them correctly ?

No not common Infact only seen one true gasket failure

Normally down to oil cooler but lots you need to check first

are the cooling fans working could be the fuse box on topof the battery if its affecting the electrics as well
