1.6 tdi chirping noise squeek...?

Featured Replies

Hi guys i got myself a 62 plate fabia 1.6 tdi on the 23th of december.

The last few times i have drove it i have have heard what i can only describe as a chirping___squeek noise,

It is not very loud but is annoying it seems at its worst when i put my heating up to 2,but then again

When i switch it off i can still hear it. It,s hard trying to pin point where it is comeing from.

Have any of you guys heard this in your cars ??? Any ideas what it could be???

While i,m at it my clutch has a very high biteing point is this normal for the tdi? I know it sounds like i,m haveing a moan but apart from these two things i think the car is great. Its done 5700 miles thanks in advance for your help.

Welcome to the forum.

Other than the fan speed,

Maybe try some different settings or vent openings  just to  see if it makes a difference.

Was the A/C on,

or have you had it on anytime, to see that all is well with it?

I sk4gw the ac was not on i have tried it to see if its working alright and it was cold. I did not keep it on long as you know how cold it is here. I,ll try some other settings and change the vents see if that makes any difference. Any ideas on the clutch and its high biteing point i was just putting it down to it being quite new then i gave my wife a shot of the car and she mentiond how high the biteing point was.

Sorry i only drive autos,

but someone with the similar car will be along.

the seal on the out side is tight on the drivers and there is a gap at the passanger side.
