Wet vac interior?

Featured Replies

Not really sure how to do this however this afternoon I had a go with a carpet wet vac (with nozzle attachment) on the seats.

I could wet them fine but I don't really get how the nozzle was suppose to be sucking the water straight back up. I could see the water coming back up but the seat was very wet, more than I had applied I thought.

Plus the coverage was very patchy and now I fear I'll have created water marks on the whites of the seats.

I think I should have left it to the experts really but how do you guys approach this?

I did my occy interior over and over with an upholstery tool. It was really really good. But I did it like 20 times. Water was still black

I have never "wet-cleaned" car seats ...and never would! Never felt the need.

Normally wait til the summer as they will dry out a hell of a lot quicker.

I did the seats in my Focus with my Vax and found I got better results mixing the cleaning solution in a spray bottle, agitating with a brush before extracting with plain warm water. At some point you need to switch off the pump and just suck the moisture out rather than adding more liquid.

I think that's probably best... Summer clean out once the little lad is still learning to keep his feet of the passenger seat.
