Wheel incident, gutted....

Featured Replies

Argggghhhhh - two months since my wheels were refurbed and I have scratched one of them horribly.

I was driving home from dropping our daughter at college and I went down a drain or pothole on a Bristol side street. I never even saw it but I had that sinking feeling as it felt horrible when it happened.  At the time, I didn't stop and look at the wheel or the road as it was busy, dark and pouring with rain, but as soon as I got home I put a torch on it and it has five or six horrible raised scratches on the spokes and the wheel edge.  I would say it needs a re-refurb as my own skills on this type of thing are very limited.

I knew I should have told her to get a train... Gutted, but worse things happen I suppose (e.g. running out of oxygen).

Gutted for you, especially after a refurb.

You may be able to claim from the council for the damage.

Few years ago mate claimed for a knackered alloy.

May be worth a bit of research. I think you would need a picture of the offending hole though.

Thanks. Yeah I thought when it felt so horrible at the time that I should stop and check immediately but it was truly horrible out there.  I'm not sure I would even find the hole again now!
