Am I Just Lucky ?

Featured Replies

Have covered 3000 miles now & have nothing but praise for my Octy 3 Elegance 1.6 Tdi.

The paintwork was perfect, all lights / systems work as intended, there are no rattles, squeaks or mysterious noises on full lock to spoil things, and the driving experience excellent. The mpg is perfectly acceptable, ( averaging 55 now), the "simply clever" bits brilliant, and I recommend everyone to get the boot net system fitted as it secures everything so easily.

So, am I just lucky ? I'm certainly not easily pleased (ask my wife !), but this car has ticked all the right boxes for me and I couldn't be more pleased - long may it continue , and I hope others are as "lucky" as me !

If you're just lucky then I am too. It's all good for me. I wasn't too fussed on the suspension at first as I felt it a bit too firm but now I like it very much indeed. I'd like a few more mpg to be honest but I'm sure that'll follow. This is my first skoda but somehow I don't think it's my last. Enjoy!

I'm lucky as well then :)

As long as my coolant isnt leaking (no change since i first noticed id lost some), then im nearly 800 miles in, and no problems. The suspension seems to be softening up a little which is good. Just need more MPG now. Low 50s for a journey which was nearly all motorway, when claimed figures are high 70s for extra urban. Not exactly good. Hopefully will pick up as the engine loosens up.

I've had nothing but problems with my 2.0tdi!

Bluetooth is patchy, window trims scratched by dealer, diesel smell through vents and around car when pulling up and climate misting up my windscreen when in auto.

So feel lucky!

Also only managing 50-56mpg on a 25mile commute on all motorway to work every morning, with no traffic. So that's hopefully going to get better too!

Also my dealer is being as useful as a chocolate teapot at the moment.

I am loving the boot net system in my hire car just now, I would recommend it to anyone. Shame I didn't order it for my own car. (may have to rectify that when I eventually get it back!).

I had a quick check of my car before handing over any cash. Dealer looked a bit miffed at first, but eventually understood. I told him it made it easier to reject the car if i hadnt paid him thousands!

Same here. Nothing but high praise for my TSI VRS Estate, and its my first Skoda. Only 500 miles in so far, but everything works superbly and I cant believe how many great comments I've had from my workmates, one of which is now going to order one as he was so impressed (and he currently has a BMW 3 series!). I also got the boot net system which is fantastic and well worth the money in my opinion.

I brought a list of issues to check, including paint finishing and b-pillar scratches. The car was flawless!

I'm only getting 40-41 mpg's tho, but I either drive in city or on motorway at 80(+) mph.

That said my recent trip through Norway (Oslo - Lillehammer and back) returned almost 51mpg. So I may see an improvement once I stop being so 'enthusiastic' with the cars driving abilities and learn to drive a bit more eco-friendly, along with the engine loosening up a bit.

I had a check too, but they had me waiting so long to pick my car up, it was dark!

Only fault being fixed by them is the window trims, as the rest "don't exist"...

Love My new car. My wife is EVEN more positive about the car. I also have the 1,6 tdi with DSG? Handling is great , just an honest really good car In My opinion
