Air mass (MAF) sensor!

Featured Replies

Hi, I brought a genuine Bosch air mass for my car but it's got the wrong connector to plug it strait up to my car.

Apparently it's for a mk4 golf gti.

Should I just waste more money and got another but the right one this time or can I just cut the block off and get the right one off a golf?

Is the sensor going to read wrong anyway?

Thanks in advance.

Oh and if you have one for a mk1 vRS and are in ba14 7 area let me know.

I have a good used one from an octy Vrs if you get stuck. Original Bosch one with 5 pin connection. Square one end, round the other.

If the new MAF part number doesn't end in LX then it's the wrong item.

IIRC, the AUQ (Skoda) and AUM (VW Golf) MAFs have the same connector.

Pretty sure mine ends in LX

The VRS (AUQ)needs this one along with the other 2 engine codes using same .

06A 906 461 L - AUM, ARX, AUQ

"L" being the important bit.

I would get your money back rather than attempt to make fit.

..."L" being the important bit...

The 'L' version hasn't been available for quite some time now and has been superceded by the 'LX' version.

yeah very true but as long as the "L" is referenced the OP will get the right one, is where I was coming from .....
