When I bought my vrs it was missing the clip that sits behind the rear door handle, I have bought another but it doesnt seem to fit. I thought it would just clip straight in but it just sits loosely in the hole? Is their an insert that should be there for it to clip into? Will upload pictures if needed later on as I am currently at work.

Exterior mate, sorry forgot to add that!

Not sure what part you mean.

 

Anyway:  Outer main part of the handle slots in from the back of the car to the front.  You need to hold the sprung plastic part of the mechanism against the outer door skin before clicking it into place fully.  That's what makes it spring back to the door.

 

If you mean the lock barrel ring of blanking part at the back of the handle:

There's a plastic grommet in the door above the latch in the door shut.  there's a screw in there (torx head).

That turns the ring back and forward that locks the blanking part in place.  It's a pain in the backside to change or put into place.  You need to really remove the inner door panel and glass to see how that fits properly.
