Pilot Sport 3 or Parada

Featured Replies

Looking to purchase two new tyres, wheels have 4 Parada's on at the minute and I'm Torn between these two at the minute, I know Parada's are pants in the wet, but I've found them in 205/40r17 for £70 a corner delivered whereas the Pilot sport's are £96 a corner. Help please lol

£26 more for more grip in the wet

I know what I'd be buying

should have said also, only changing 2 tyres and don't really like using 2 different brands like them all to be the same

On my summer wheels, I ran Parada2s in 225/40/18 before switching. I was impressed with them I have to say, and they wore well for me. I also didn't have any problems with them in the wet, that I can recall. Currently have PS3s on the back, PZeros on the front, as I had a pair spare :)

So I can't comment directly, Parada2 vs PS3 as I don't run them all-round but I'll replacing the PZeros with PS3s when they wear out, that's all I'll say

thanks wardy, I think Parada's are only terrible in standing water aren't they? Heard people say they aren't too bad on damp ground. Parada's tread pattern is awesome too lol.

I gave them quite a lot of grief across 20,000 miles and didn't have any issues, but I run winters Oct-March (generally) so might have avoided the worst of the weather, who knows :)

For the tyre they are, with that tread pattern, I was very pleased with wear I must say. And I'm not known for being particularly kind to front tyres ;)

Me Too, Rainsport 3's

hated the Rainsport 2's, sidewalls are like jelly, good in the wet and that's about it. By no means is it a performance tyre lol put me off Uniroyal for good

PS3's all day. Far superior tyre personally and well worth the extra dosh!

I used to run spec 2s and thought they were good. 205 45 16 but changed to ad08 as all ive gmheard are good things. Only have 2 on the back just now but no complaints. Will be replacing my front with them next month

Of the two, I'd take the Pilot Sports, but if it was a free choice, I'd probably run the Goodyear Eagle F1 Asymmetric2's.

I've run my Uniroyal Rainsport2s for a while, and i'm thinking of replacing with the 3rd generation jobs. But I'd still say that they hold up well in the dry and under braking; they handled one (cold) track day without excess wear, and while I should have ordered the XL rated tyres for the stiffer sidewalls, I quite like a bit of compliance in the tyre as it helps with weight transfer.
