towbar electrics

Featured Replies

Hi I am going to have a go at diy fitting a towbar but not very good at electrics. Does anybody know if a basic single socket wiring kit will be ok (£6) or will I need the fancy dedicated kit (about (£100)?

Thanks

Joe

I have used a single socket and piggy backed the light connections, all okay. Used for light board only.

ok thanks this will be for my camping trailer but I need easiest option for wiring as I am no electrician!

See someone who knows what he's doing with the electrics, if you have no idea. It could screw up your car if you make a mistake.

The standard wiring kit is ok for the superb 1 up to 2006 as I have done several.

Thanks for replys, mine is 56 plate, bought a bargain dedicated electrics set from Witter for £60, have not fitted it yet, but supposed to be plug and play apart from earth connections.
