Blackvue DR380 HD

Featured Replies

Has anybody got any interest in my Blackvue 380 HD dash cam for £150 delivered?

Just thinking of something else I want to try. The camera has been mounted in the same place since new and was a replacement for the first faulty unit. All of the accessories are new and unused.

unless I'm missing something glaringly obvious

The fact that it sold over 2 months ago?  :giggle:

Not sure what you paid john but you may want to view the prices the Blackvue 380 HD II cameras are being sold for by a Briskoda sponsor to see if your price is comparable with a brand new one?

As for the eBay ones, they may be cheaper than buying from a UK supplier but you may have import duty to pay (if they are coming directly from Korea) and the added cost to you if you need to send it back for any reason (warranty claim).

I do think £150 is a bit high for a second hand one seeing as a brand new one is only £20 more? (though saying that I dont know how 'old' your one is?)

Think you need to look at your link - it doesn't work.

Link works ok for me, here's the important bit for anybody in doubt.

"The only discussion permitted in classified threads are those which show interest in replying to the advert. Criticism of items or pricing, chit-chat, bumping threads or any other discussion not relevant will be removed."

TBH the questions that have been asked are relevant, it appears you have at least a couple of people interested... at the right price.

How old is it...does it have any warranty left on it?

Where was it bought? ... from a UK supplier? a GB? or Forum sponsor etc?

Is it the latter HD II?

Photo’s would be good also.

I currently use the 400HD in the Superb and it has been faultless in the almost 2 years(?) since Bossfox organised the GB, a second unit for SWMBO’s car is a possibility.

+1

I am actually on the look out for one with the ever increasing amount of near misses I've had with not just cars but with pedestrians. Just the other day I nearly run a pensioner over who just walked out in front of me on a red man. Could just picture the headlines now if I'd hit her. "Pensioner dies after being hit by young male in sports car"

The right price is a discussion between me and the potential buyer, it's not for everyone else to stick their oar in and discuss. I'm sure if I advertised it for £50 nobody would have said it was too cheap, would they?

As far as details on this particular unit go, it was bought in a group buy - the last one was not actually two years ago, but more like this time last year - the first vid I uploaded to YouTube after fitting it the same day was on the 2nd Jan (must've turned up between Christmas and new year 2012.

It was replaced under warranty by Smart Cam Direct midway through last year, I don't know what the warranty status is as Bossfox sorted out the return. It's not a later HDII, but is a 16gb UK version, rather than the even earlier version that came with the 8gb card.

I've only had the idea to sell as I fitted a (more expensive) to my brother's car and thought I'd like to upgrade but really, for the job it does, it's not the end if the world if I don't.

Thanks for the reply, but for me it’s not worth the small saving on a brand new one with 12 months warranty.

Interest withdrawn.

GLWTS.

I would also have been interested at the right price - you may have seen me say on other threads that I'm goin to get a rear one. But not at only £20 less than a brand new one with full warranty. Glwts

No, no idea, are you? Smart Cam Direct are a forum sponsor if you are.

Please forgive me if I am missing something, or if it's assumed my tone is in any way confrontational rather than any serious expressions of interest, I saw three posts that basically attempted to kick me in the teeth over the price.

To me, an interested post would have started, "I think I might like to buy your Blackvue, but I think it's a bit expensive, what sort of deal can we do?"

The only reason I was going to sell this for a 500 was because I was initially attracted to the shiny new feature of being able to connect it to your iPhone and view the video on the phone. That's now past and I'll probably keep this until I decide I want something else and then I'll probably give it to somebody who wants it or put it in the Wife's car.
