code out seatbelt chime

Featured Replies

hello again

I have a faulty seatbelt stalk causing the warning chime to sounds intermittently and beleive this can be disabled using vcds.  Is there anyone willing to do this for me? if so please name your price, willing to come to you anywhere between manchester and birmingham, closer to mid cheshire the better.

thanks

Simon

Simon you may get a better response by contacting a VCDS owner directly (there is a map of Briskoda VCDS owners in my signature)

However the MKII Octavia is a bit hit and miss with the seatbelt coding, some cars are fine others it does not work, in that instance you can simply disconnect the plug (from memory it’s a black plug with two wires going to it) this will be either under the seat near the buckle or on the outside edge of the seat under a plastic cover

(the yellow plug is for the airbags... do not disturb this or you may need VCDS to turn the light off - if the ignition is turned on)

I disconnected mine for the same reason, was driving me nuts when it started chiming.  Have not had any problems with that since.

this finally motivated me to find torch & mirror and get it disconnected.

Job done, no more bloody chiming
