remap info

Featured Replies

3rd post in a minute but here goes

I have a 08 octavia vrs, 73k miles.

is there an age/milage past where a remap should not be considered?

what sort of price/power increase would a remap only gain?

Any recomends in the north west for this sort of procedure, closer to mid cheshire the better.

Also, not really related but I've seen a few places, including F1 offering engine efficiency treatments, has anyone used these to good effect, and if so any recomended garages?

thanks

Hope you upgrade your insurance once installed-checkout current threads.

OT I know sorry but best to use the specialist brokers if you remap it. There is no change to my premium whether it's mapped or not (but I am 47 and have avoided the hedgerow for nearly 30 years).

good info thanks, to be honest this may have to wait a little while depending what the news on my rear brakes.  4 new boots + replacement parts wont be cheap.

Is that shark tune using their self tune system or is it permanent?  Would be good to hear of more than one option on the remap too.

There are many different remap options, do a search and make your own mind up. The majority on here will say Shark due to him being an active sponsor and he used to own an Octy, but go to other forums with the same engine (mk5 golf gti) and Shark will hardly get a mention.
