3C8 035 730 D bluetooth module coding

Featured Replies

If anyone has the 3C8 035 730 D bluetooth module and has access to VCDS I would be grateful if you could post your coding of module 77 please.

Thanks in advance

Following up on this I suspect that long coding helper in VCDS 12.12.0 is not quite set up for the 3c8..d module.  I only found out from a German VCDS site (and Google Translate!) that the last two bytes (10 and 11) needed to be 01 01 to enable the new wifi functionality that the d module now offers.  However, the VCDS long coding helper suggests that these relate to something else (drivetrain and vehicle type) which I think is because the label file is related to the slightly older 3c8..a module perhaps?  When I manually input 01 01 to bytes 10 and 11 with my genuine cable, wifi worked for me.

So I wonder if one of the Ross Tech colleagues reading this could confirm whether I am correct that an updated label file is required please?  The reason I raise this is that I have one or two issues with my installation, namely phone related steering wheel controls not working and an inability to display SMS on the Maxidot which may I guess be related to the coding?  In particular byte 9 has no instruction in the long coding helper when I access it in VCDS and so I wonder if this byte may help me resolve my issues?

Edit: My latest scan is attached, the error in HVAC is not an issue.

Thanks in advance

Adam
