I have been reading through a lot of the coilover threads and I still cant decided on what to get.

 

I have a MK1 octavia VRS, it has a few engine modifications and now I am looking down the suspension modifications.

 

I have not done any suspensions modifications yet but i have brought poly top mount bushes and ready to fit.

 

I have about £200 to spend on coilovers.

 

what is the best coilovers for this sort of money

If I were you I would spend that money on a rarb which will produce a much better handling car over coil overs. You will then still have some dosh left for some other parts.

Agree with mark there mate.

Dont waste your money on £200 coilies. Best bang for buck on these cars is a rarb then remap.

For 200 you might be lucky and find a r32 farb and 28mm rarb second hand. Just need to hang about andgrab when they pop up. Best ccombo imo

There are a few neuspeed rears on the Facebook sites, just gotta watch out for cars being broke.

R32 fronts can be picked up from TPS I think for not to much, if you know the right people.

I am going to be fitting my neuspeed today or Monday, after a lot of advice from the gurus on here.

If you wanna keep the std front bar just get a whiteline 24mm or 22mm rear

The car hss already had a remap panel filter and full stainless system including de cat.

I have been told that the audi s3 and tt rarb all fit and are better than standard.

No mate rarb on s3 is different. They are 4x4

Fronts fit fine tho but are 21mm iirc the one you want it the 23mm front matched with a 28mm rear.

What is iirc, and whers is the best place for the arbs

How come everyone is mocking the cheap coilovers?

 

Heard many positive reviews about the Prosport coilovers on this site and fitted a set myself.
