What are the recommended replacements to the standard bulbs - I think they are past their time now they just arent as bright as they used to be!

 

I was looking at HID kits but then came across the auto express review proving their illegarity - which makes sense as someone was driving past me the other day and it felt like i was looking into the sun everytime i checked my rear view mirror!!

 

Just looking for some bulbs all the way around the exterior of the car that are brighter than the standard factory setup

No after market HID kits are type-approved for road use in the UK (though feel free to point me out one that officially state theirs can be used on the road).

 

I find Osram Nightbreak Plus bulbs pretty good, but you can also get Philips Xtreme Vision, which are about the same, from what people say. They are both likely to burn out quicker than standard ones though. Just beware of cheap ebay fakes.

That's because your headlight lenses aren't as clear as they used to be, refurbish them and be amazed.
