First time

Featured Replies

Hi, i've just bought a used code reader and decided to try it out on my 1.3 mpi (vreg) felicia. Being a first time user i followed all the instructions in the manual and retreived these codes:

Engine start blocked by immobilizer:

P1570

---------------------

static- no define

00522

Engine coolent Temp sensor (G62)

----------------------

Sporadic

Like i say this is the first time i have used a diagnostic tester and are unsure how to proceed, my problem is should i erase these codes and see if they come back?

Because the car starts every time without fail and seems to run perfectly, and the temp gauge on the dash works ok. Also i will say, before i got the car (about 1 mounth ago) it was stood for a very long time with a dead battery.

Any advice on what to do now would be appreciated, Thanks

Very helpful, sounds like first DTC could have been caused by low battery voltage/ the dead battery situation

Looks like i'll need a new coolent temp sensor (G62) unless it's just the Wiring and/or connections

I'll be saving this site in my favorites

Thank You
