I am expecting to be slapped for this and i will join freedom and list in selling once i have bits to sell, but...

My Mk1 L&K 1.9TDi estate with 143k on it popped the turbo and suspect took the engine with it. Would there be interest in me breaking it or do i spend 2k putting a new engine in it?

Don't think it'd cost 2k to fit a engine bud.

Might only need a turbo. Are you positive the engine is terminal?

It didnt want to crank when I put more oil in and started it. I am getting quoted silly money for recon engines.... tempted to give dads garage a good workout. He only keeps his golf plus in it

No. There wasnt and smoke after the pop so I drove a few hundred meters till u could pull over. It did start smoking and complained a little but I stopped the engine. It does run but really smelly and smoky

What colour is the car as maybe interested in some body panels if it's black?
