Samsung Galaxy S3

Sorry to drag this one out again, but I've just been given an S3 and I'm trying to pair it in my 2010 Elegance (although the Columbus is 2013). Phone is GT-I8190N; Android 4.1.2. The h/u finds the phone; the phone finds the h/u on rSAP, but when I try to connect on the maxidot, I just get 'the mobile phone is not compatible', and when I try to pair from the phone I get 'unable to pair'. I get a screen sometimes to enter a code, but, of course, the maxidot gives me no code to enter. I have no SIM lock code. Any suggestions gratefully received.
