Samsung Galaxy S3

Featured Replies

Right guys big ask here. Could you tell me;

1) Android version on your S3

2) Bluetooth module unit number

Im having problems with getting my S3 to pair correctly with bluetooth unit 5N0 035 730 C. So am looking for your experiences

Mine is on 4.1.2 and has paired fine regardless of what versionit previously had. Not sure of the bluetooth module but it's a  2011 Yeti. Can check the bluetooth later if you like

Dom, I would be grateful if you could get me the module number

what's the easiest way to do that? Hook up to VCDS?

Look under the drivers seat. Should be either a metal or Styrofoam holder

What issues are you having?

Have you made sure your phone is visible when pairing for the 1st time?

In the yeti it's well hidden under a plastic cover but lying in the back and peering under the big bold number is 7p6035730f. That make sense?

Have a look at the Ross tech wiki. It lists Bluetooth modules and what they can do.

Hi Simon I did do that. Also Adam has given me alot of support. We cant work out why the 5NO module and my S3 wont fully connect

I am on the 4.1.2 operating system on my S3. I dont think its been updated since I last connected to my 5N0 B unit before I sold it.

Interestingly my phone model number is GT-I9300 whereas yours is GT-I9305. Not sure what the difference is but wonder if there is something in that?

Im starting to think its to do with no GSM antenna. As the system is properly running a start up procedure

It could be. If the pairing is retained when you get the problem, then I would agree. But if not, I don't believe the GSM antenna controls the pairing itself.

I have put the other module back in and works fine. I did notice it tries to find the old owners phone. Cant seem to delete it out the system

It needs a factory reset or vcds. Factory reset is usually done through the head unit but as your hu doesn't work with that module you need vcds probably.

Where are you from Adam? Just found someone having the problem with their Audi and S3 they disconnected data services and it worked

I'm in Newport South Wales so a bit far for you although I would gladly help with coding if you were down this way.

I'm not sure how disconnecting data services would help as when connecting in RSAP the phone disconnects all services anyway, when the car takes over the SIM.

I don't suppose you've recently updated to Android 4.3, have you?

After I did it I also couldn't get a proper pairing. Once returned to 4.1.2 all was fine.

I have 4.3 on my Galaxy Note 3 and haven't had any problems so far with my 3c8 035 730D

4.3 on my S4 too and it connects just fine.
