I have just bought my first fabia vrs with is stanard I want to put my single din sony CD player in it but don't know how to get the old unit out or do I need any parts to fit the sony CD player

Any help will be great

you will need the correct facia adaptors etc to be able to fit a single din unit. iirc the mk1 fabia is 1 and a half din

Facia adapter needed is less than a fiver from a Skoda dealer, so don't bother with the overpriced autoleads one. If you look at the front of the factory unit, you'll see four thin slots. The release tools are inserted into these, get those from eBay for peanuts.
