Whats the story with these then?

Had a quick look on the web but could only find stats for the US auto version.

Obviously it'd kill me in the bends but whats the 0-60 and 0-100 time?

Thats a series 3 90 quattro( saloon ). It had the 2226cc KV 5 cylinder engine. With 136bhp

It did 0-60 in around 9 seconds and topped out around 130mph..

There was also a 20V of both the 90 and Coupe..

170bhp and 0-60 times around 7.8 seconds..

Big nose heavy lumps but they had a Torsen diff so only mild understeer..

cheers

p.s. U.S versions were completely different.

I used to have a Coupe Quattro - very slow, didn't handle, poor on fuel etc etc.......

If i lost to one of those in the Fabia i would kill myself :)

Here is mine :)

Sounded nice, and was solid though. Had it from new also (was my dads)

The s2 version with turbo is a whole another story however.. puts out 220 bhp and does 0-100kph in 6.1 seconds

What a series 2 or 3?

In my series 2 90 quattro.. I would be buying you a

coffin..... :D:D

Traction of the line would leave ur fabia with the TC light on!!!

Also round the twistys in the wet.. bye bye Fabia....

Must have been something wrong with your quattro..

Dazz :D

I will take a 90 quattro in in the wet. Are you local to Chesterfield ?

I had a coupe Quattro !

Well go and find my old quattro.. and I will...

Oh I think it was last seen competing and winning road rallys..

Mind you it was'nt exactly standard.. TSR uprated cylinder head

uprated suspension. I could keep my mates 230bhp S2 in sight in the

twistys... And was on par with the non turbo 20V versions in acceleration..

You are seriously thinking that of the line fom standstill you will have the

traction from the tyres? more than likely you will either have the TCS cutting

engine power or not getting it of the line that quickly...

In the quattro.. I could nearly red line it and dump the clutch.. without a blip

of wheelspin.. I could also do this in the wet as well.

I traded a 20v Coupe quattro in on my Fabia vRS, and I had a 90q 20v as well...

both LOVELY cars... and they stuck to the road like sh!t to a blanket. VERY VERY thirsty though... they have a 70l fuel tank, and I struggled to get 250 miles from it.

Scarily enough (and it shocks me to say) I don't miss it (audi) since I bought the Fabia, neither do I miss my old 16v Mk2 Golf or my old E30 325.... the only thing I miss about them is the exhaust note(s)

I was never totally impressed with the straightline speed of the audi... but in the twisties and on iffy road surfaces... FANTASTIC!
