if you really think the car is running less boost pressure than it should be then yes' date=' take it back to the dealer...

did you disconnect the battery for long enough for the ECU to reset ?

If you did rememeber that it will take some time for the car to adapt to your driving style, and it will only adapt to a fast driving style if thats how you are driving!

If you drive sedatley for the next 500 miles and do a lot of motorway cruises at 70 or so then it likely wont be so aggressive.[/quote']

About 35-40 min not sure if that was enough, dont do motorway much mainly use to work and back will push it abit and call the dealer see what they say has 4300 on the clock so should be worked in a little just does not seem no were near the same as the 04 I tried. Do you find yours kicks in 3rd and fourth gear cause there seems none on mine?

Just been talking to someone about this on the Mondy forums (:o) and Haynes recommends that after an ECU reset, you should let the engine idle until it's at working temperature, hold it at 1200rpm for 2 minutes and then take it for a 5 mile drive. This should be enough for it to relearn ... wonder if the Fabia is the same :D

Chris

good Q ! I know it didnt take long for my scoob to sort itself out after a reset

Mine got noticably quicker from 4k-6k.

The ECU will not limit your performance noticably, don't worry about it.

Got my 10k service on Saturday - I'll report back if it makes a difference!

Mine's done nearly 3000 miles now. It seems to have "kicking" days and not so "Kicking days" sometimes.

Heat is a factor, also occassionally it seems that "supermarket" fuel can make it a bit lucklustre. But some days it just flies!

The fuel thing's been done a fair bit - do a search on that but I think the general consensus is that it doesn't make a great difference. Heat definetly does though!

By the time you're approaching service you'll see a difference in performance.
