Hi all

When I switch my lights on the dials and button lights on the dash are dull.  Any ideas?  The headlights seem to be fine.  Pretty strange.

Have you tried using the dimmer switch? it sounds like its on its lowest setting. If you turn it up your dash lights should become brighter.

Next question is... how do I do that??

On the Dash behind the wiper stalk, there's a wheel,  turn it up or down

 

If you have no Xenons there's 2 wheels, next to each other, one for Dash lights one to raise/ lower the lights

There are 2 roller switches to the left of your light switch,one is the dimmer & the other one adjusts the level of the headlights(unless you have xexon headlights). put your lights on & move the dimmer switch & the dash lights should get brighter.

Back on topic... We have the reverse problem on ours.

When the lights are on, the dial illumination is as it should be, but, in daylight, when the lights are off the dials are significantly duller than the needles.

Any ideas on that one?

This is a classic case where reading the manual will be invaluable,

modern cars do so much nowadays that those that just get in and drive them could be missing out on loads of options that the car can do.
