T4 2.5 tdi nozzles on stock injectors ?

Featured Replies

Was mentioned to me today by a friend, that someone suggested to him about using t4 transporter nozzles on his 110bhp golf, would this make much of a difference ?

I am not a big diesel tuner but I would have thought performance from a diesel engine is improved when more boost and cold dense air is available, extra fuel usually makes black smoke.

I might be wrong but I would imagine fitting these would result in an over fueling situation.

No smoke no poke as they say in diesel tuning.

Ofc i should have mentioned that a map would be required.

depends how good the map is I thought? 2.5TDi nozzles would be a bit overkill though, wouldn't it?

I can't see the point myself, the oem injectors are more than capable of making probably double the original power output, it's not the injectors that are limiting the power, it's more to do with the engines ability to burn the fuel.

Well this would most likely be coupled with a few other mods, such as fmic, uprated turbo ect... and some messing about with vcds with regards to the injection quantity

re the injection quantity; there's only a finite amount that a 1.9PD can efficiantly burn, chucking in extra fuel won't help. Or have I misread your intentions?

It's not a Pd engine, it's the Ve, the earlier tdi engines, with regards to injection quantity there is only minimal amount you can adjust,  afaik you can't adjust pd injection as it's controlled by the timing ? but i'am still in the process of learning so bear with me, but ultimately i'am aiming for more bhp, so open to hints, suggestion and a bit of know how
