Hi just wondering if I can disconnect my battery without having to reset anythin with vcds ? Cause I need to swap my melted fuse box and alternater cable I don't have vcds so don't wanna be left stuck thanks

I replaced the battery a while back no ill effects and no need to use vcds.

There should be no problem, but it would be prudent to make sure you have the radio code - just in case.

I disconnect mine all the time no problems at all although your car might feel a bit different while it re learns things as the ecu will get reset
