Does anyone use them regularly? I already have bars and feet ready for the estate but just wondering about how they fit on the hatch, how well and what it looks like.

I'm currently on the hunt for a FL Mk2 Octy vRS CR TDI Estate since the Fabia is too costly to run but wanted to open up the option of the hatch if possible. I use the roof bars regularly between March and October so they are a must.

So there's no proper mounting points. Don't they scratch the pillars?

there is proper mounting points at the top of the door, they fit on quite easily, they have the potential to scratch if your not careful but generally good, If I remember I can chuck the picture up of a mounting point?

no worries will do, strange looking at my car almost forgot what it looked like clean!

I have mine fitted most of the year. I've got Thule aero bars. Doesn't scratch the car and I've not noticed much difference in economy.

No worries, I would say if you were a bit closer you could come and have a look at the bars and the fittings, but I think the drive is a bit much, also need to change what car I own on my signature as you can tell the Mk1 Octavia has gone
