Right seeing as i have now got my new Superb and i will soon begin making my changes to the car i figured its time to start a new build thread. in case any of you didnt see i had a superb already and sadly had an accident involving some very unpleasant road conditions which resulted in the poor skoda being left a bit worse for wear..

But after a short yet unpleasant period of driving a french car which i purchased for a unbeatable £200. I started my new job with the police in the new year so figured it'd be the perfect time for me to take the plunge and get another skoda.

So a local garage i have been visiting for some time now have had a superb for a while now as it belonged to one of their mechanics so every time i went past it caught my eye for all the right reasons. then when i finally decided it was the car for me i haggled the price down to a fair deal around the 2 grand mark. :bandit:

She is a Skoda Superb 2.5tdi v6 Comfort. MANUAL

85,000 miles, 6 months tax, 12 months mot and a fresh service just done. comes with a warrenty and being my friend Mark (who runs the garage) said if any problems arrise he will make sure they do all they can to fix it. mainly because he loves the car and secondly he doesnt wanna upset PCSO Chapman :giggle:  But shhh.. dont tell him i aint a real copper ;) hehe

Anyways enough rambling on and lets get started with some pictures

Right im gonna start this off with showing the couple of pics of my first Superb.
these were taken when me and my mates decided to drive down to bournemouth overnight and i managed to do the whole trip there and back (over 150 miles) for only £15 of diesel

I felt that for the age of the car she was in bloody good condition so after a bit of haggling i got the price right down and had a fresh mot and service thrown in for free :bandit:

Now the first things i did when i got the car home were change the lights to LED (interior, sidelights, reverse, numberplate, footwells) and i have got my HID kits to install still. but it will probably be this weekend before i get round to fitting them. :)

I also pulled the led DRL strips off the headlamps as they look naff so instead of unwiring them i decided to leave them attached but simply place them under the bonnet in key locations so if i am under the bonnet after dark and switch on my sidelights i will have 2 led work lights haha

After making these changes my focus then went to polishing her and giving the car a blitz this last weekend. as after communting 50 miles a day for training at work the poor car was filthy and needed some love

Once i finished cleaning me and my mate went out for a drive to take a few photo's to get some early snaps before i start making any changes

heres the car midway through cleaning (please excuse the building site my house it at the moment)

I'd love to take credit for this "good idea" but in honesty it was actually a bit of a lazy discovery. i moved them under the bonnet when fitting the sidelights and then when i went to finish removing them i noticed they had both stuck to rather convenient spots in the engine bay and i realised they had a use so kept them :notme:

At this point I had simply given it a good clean, fitted LED's interior, side light, reverse and number plate, and I also had fitted my 6000k fog light HID's and 5000k HID's in the dipped beam, OSRAM night breakers in the high beam.

had my friend valet the car as he started out his own company and needed to build up his portfolio so I volunteered my Superb for a little treatment. I was so happy with the result

and then later that day I decided to clean the back end up so stripped off the Superb badge and I also decided to get rid of the engine designation to remain a little discreet :bandit:

In this shot you can see the DRL strip on the rubber at the top of the engine bay. they sit nicely either side of the bay in the rubber there and illuminate the engine bay nicely at night.

Now I personally think LED strip lights can looks absolutely naff and are tacky but these were professionally wired into the headlights and were on the car when I purchased it so when I peeled them off the headlights I couldn't be bothered to unwire them and waste the effort that went into fitting them so decided to just move them to where nobody can see them but they proved to function rather well in their new locations so decided to keep them

Now this will probably not be to most superb owners taste but being a young lad who is a strong lover of the VAG modified scene I couldn't hold back.

I went to ultimate dubs with my cousin who has the mk2 gti golf. and the superb did the 450 mile round trip averaging 55mpg :D
Saw some lovely cars there and got plenty of great ideas of people and have since written up a list of things i'd like to do to the superb.

At the show there was a stall producing custom made plates so decided it was about time I binned the **** dealership plates in favour of some Pressed UK plates without the nasty GB part.

I think they look so much better on the car than the old ones. nice and clean. and have received no interest from my friends at the station even when I questioned traffic one what they thought they said that mine are the best example on the road and there for they they would be worth a roadside argument if I was to be pulled by a novice officer who didn't know the law  :drunk:

Also rolled over to 89,000 miles on the return from Shropshire

I also have got my old O.Z racing Superturismo wheels out of storage which I had on my old superb. they will be going on the v6 once I get some new rubber all round as I want a higher profile than what is on them as they are awfully low profile for my liking. They will also be fully refurbished and I am thinking a gunmetal grey colour finished to a very high gloss so they have a nice shine to them.

Here are some pictures of them fitted on my old Skoda with the 40 profile tyres

I have decided I am going to ditch the green interior lighting in favour for Purple as it is my favourite colour and I know a company who will do it for me. so I made a couple mock up images to see what it will look like

and here we arrive to the current state my car is sat in. as can be seen in the superb forum I have got a problem with vacuum loss somewhere resulting in no servo assistance when braking and next to no turbo pressure. so sadly the superb is parked up with the engine stripped of its plastics and I am carefully assessing what is the cause of this leak.
