This was something that I saw on Detailing World and I thought might be particularly useful for those of us interested in detailing.  I have sought and gained permission from Colin for a new swap section in the Marketplace.  DW can sometimes be a little unfriendly or dominated by traders and pro's so I thought might be nice to have a Briskie version.

 

On DW people use it as an opportunity to look at their collection of detailing kit and decide if there is something that they aren't getting a lot of use out of and offer it to other members in exchange for something out of their kit bag.  A fairly simple concept I think.

 

Usually goes:

 

I have some Autoglym SRP 95% full

 

looking to swap for Extra Gloss Protection or UDS.

 

Clearly this can be used for anything, not just detailing Guff

I'd say you could swap "anything" (within reason)

At DW, thread starters need to post a photo showing the item they want to swap, their user name and the date (usually on a piece of paper alongside the item). This is a sensible precaution, I think, and one we should consider implementing here. They also usually provide a wish list, though that can be as broad as 'anything considered'.

Yup, i have PM'd Colin suggesting these rules/guidelines be applied to the Swap section.

 

No reason that I can see that it should be limited as to what you can swap, just that the idea came from DW
