Shall I change it?

Featured Replies

I have had my OctyIII since June, so it is actually one of the first ones off the line.

The car I have was ordered off a stock list as I wanted to change it quite quickly, so I did not get anything spec'd on it.

I have a 1.6SE DSG.

When I purchased it, I was doing 35k per year, so put it on a high mileage PCP, with extended warranyt. I also missed out on the 0% by a week or so. Since I bought it, I have changed jobs and my mileage has dropped.

although people have always thought I am mad, I pay a lot on my finance, but then I will never own the car, and to me it is my office,

I am friendly with the salesman at the dealership, and he thinks that if I look to change the car now, with the 0% and the decrease in my mileage he should be able to get me into a newer car with some of the spec that I want for no difference in payments.

I would really like heated seats, sunroof and bi-xenons.

Anybody think of a reason not to do this if I can make the figures work??

Why not?

Why not if it is going to get you into a better car for no extra cost. On the PCP you don't have depreciation etc to think about and if the payments and the final settlement figure, if you do go that way, have not changed then there is no reason to not do so.

I thought the 0% PCP was no longer available?  You say no difference on payments - what about deposit and final payment?

It seems 0% fiancé is still available as Preston Motors refer to it in their 'ad' for cars at 25% off.  But is 0% available on Octavias?

I believe the 0% is available on all the Octavia's except the VRS.

Is there any difference in the gfv based on your new lower milage, I.e. will it be loads more than currently predicted or will you not get much benefit and how will that compare with the new one? Apart from understanding this I can't see why not. Good luck

Yep not vRS and yeti.

Go for it mate, theres no sound check on life,

Sorry but sounds like a fair amount of hassle for a few nice to haves.

No brainer to me.

If you can afford it then do it, tomorrow you might not be here.

The words said by my cousin before he died of cancer at 52.

I'd go for it, sometimes you need to do these things to break up the boredom of everyday life...
