Hi all, at last got my race blue Octavia vRS TDi Hatch. Loving it, for those waiting you will not be disappointed! Ordered 20th September, picked up 18th Jan. Extras were tinted glass, towbar prep, colour maxiDot.

Having had an octavia vrs hatch TDi mk2, I am finding this new car is more refined. Possibly due to the CR engine, which seems to be less grunty in first and second gears but more powerful higher up.

Will get pics up as soon as weather improves, that may be a while!

What do you think to the colour maxi dot?

The one I test drove was just a standard one and was nice enough but can't wait to pick mine up with the colour one in

Yea the colour maxi-dot is quite nice.. for £80 I thought it was worth the addon. You even get a blue frost symbol! ('Wow!!' I hear everyone say!)

 

I suppose it keeps the interface more in keeping with the main infotainment display.

 

CossieCol, looking forward to seeing the white hatch around, I was very close to changing from blue to white.. it looks pretty sweet especially with the black pack. I am actually considering  buying the black grill surround and fitting myself.. anyone else done this? Was it an easy job?

Ask Barry baz555 he's got a black grill and Skoda were gonna charge £160 to fit!! Bumper off I think?

Yep.. Skoda will charge you £160 for  fitting ...

I have a spare black frame grille for sale if want one !!

Superskoda have the black grill and (I think) ye wing mirrors but I may be proved wrong on that one.

Not want to get your own hands dirty then Baz ?

NO.. I have 2 black grille frames

I bought 2.. One for me and one, for someone else but he change his mind...!!

I ask skoda to put it on..as i thought it be a 5mins job for them.. 

bit of a shock on Monday when they quoted me £160... 

bumper off to fit..

I didnt want to take a bumper of a brand new car...

If I can find someone cheaper to do it ..i will have it done..
