Hi

I have just tried to open drivers door with key ( never had fob to open) and lock is seized. The only way to get in is via boot. The unlock button on drivers door opens all doors except for drivers door.

Can anyone help please?

Can you open the door from inside? There's 1 or 2 things it'll be but they all involve getting the door card off and having a look

Is the door card the panel?  Can the panel be removed with the door closed?

I am a bit new to the Skoda but dependent on the model,

could it be you have programmed it to stay locked?

The lock is still but when it finally turned it just went around but didnt unlock. Very stiff motion, sprayed up with wd40 but no joy still

The card is the panel yeah. If you can't get the door open it;s a true pain but I'm sure someone on here knows a trick of forcing the mechanism up and open

By the sounds of it, the door is dead locked and either seized or electrical fault in the motor.

You could try abd bang the door by the catch while working the central locking, you could ve lucky.

Failing that, the panel needs to ve removed. I've not done a Skoda one while its closed, but doesn't look easy at all. I expect most of the clips the screws go into will break.

I'm sure someone will be along in a bit who has done this before

I had a deadlocked rear door and after trying all suggested tricks had no choice but to force the door card off as you need access to the lock mechanism to get your door open again.

On the rear door I had to remove all the screws I could get at while door is closed which is most of them really. Then use force to get door card off. Lost some skin if I remember right.

Once that was off I had to smash/break the plastic green cover on the lock mechanism so I could get my fingers in and with a bit of patience and luck wiggle the right bit in there to pop the door open again. Thought iy would be a nightmare but wasnt too bad at all.

Your underlying problem might be different to mine as there are a few different ones. My guess would be micro switch faulty or just crapped out lock.

The passenger door lock is working ( i didn't realise this lock would open al the other locks, stupid of me i know!) and opens all the doors, so i can now open the drivers door. The drivers side lock turns 360 degrees but dosnt open lock(s) 

Any advise on what it might be please? Is it the lock or the mechanism?

Worn/seized barrel. The barrels are designed to spin if the tumblers aren't in the right position, ie wrong key, screwdriver etc.

Try and get some wd40 in there.
