Spacers

Featured Replies

Hey guys, I know I said I wouldn't, but I think I need spacers for my new wheels. They are a little tucked in.

Those of you running spacers What do you have and what can you recommend?

Just don't get creation motorsport ones :)

What size roughly do you need?

Thinking 20mm at least.

Can you get bolt in ones, so you can keep your existing bolts?

I'm not too keen on the idea of going for longer bolts and the bolt hole in the wheels are quite narrow, so think I need to keep the current ones

I have H&R 12mm spacers which are very good quality .

Was going to suggest the bolt in ones, I had them and preferred them as I could use my standard wheel bolts :)

Oh cool which ones did you have Dan?

Hi DH i run 15mm up front and 20mm on the rear bolt through hubcentric ones with extended bolts .......no probs so far .

I bought them off here from one of the garage sponsors, can't remember which. They were 2nd hand but came in a TPI box :)

I run 17mm front 20mm rear.. FK hubcentric spacers bought from DPMperformance.. 17mm came with extended bolts, 20mm bolts onto hub..

been running them for about 10 months no issues..

Awesome thanks. Think I'll give them a go :)

Did people experience any handling improvements after fitting them?

Ever so slight difference.. Felt a little bit more stable/less lean In hard cornering..

Has anyone noticed if they get less mpg when running spacers?

Spacer size will be dependant on wheel size, width and offset, and alos how low you are.

Hi guys, I'd also like to fit spacers to mine as I intend to have it lowered in the very near future and think these would make the car look more beefy! just going to keep an eye on this thread :)

What offset and width are the wheels?

From the picture it doesn't look like you have a massive amount of space.

May be worth while holding something flat against the arch and then measuring from the tyre side wall to it, this will show you what size you need to have the wheels flush.

I would say looking at that you have 12/15mm rear and maybe 5mm front you could space.

Did you not do your homework before you bought the wheels and buy them in a more suitable offset?

I reckon you'd fit 15mm on the rear 10mm on the front no issues..

They were a good price from rimstyle and I liked the look of them. Different offsets wasn't an option though.
