Bought a cam belt kit to fit tomorrow with the mountain of other stuff as I don't know when or even if the belt ect was changed... (105,000 miles)

 

Picked up a gates kit, any good?? 

 

Thoughts people.... 

 

Even if I change it after 40k, at least I know in my own mind because I've had bad paranoia since having the car

Yes gates are good. Better to be safe than sorry, doing mine soon.

From my experience Gates is the best brand you can buy.

For cheaper options I would say DAYCO is also a good brand with hi quality products

How much did that set you back and did u get tensioner and new water pump with it?

Water pump isn't part of the kit, neither are the stretch bolts for the engine mount.

Tensioner, mount, and belt.... got for 70 quid :-)
