Mk1 Octavia Vrs Stage2

Featured Replies

Hi all, i bought my octavia Feb 2013, it was a one owner car with FSH and 120,000ish miles. In May 2013 i had a stage1 rtech remap carried out, however my clutch began slipping on the dyno so power was held back at 207bhp,225lb tq.  I then changed the clutch and flywheel a few weeks after.

I was bidding on ebay on a toyosport decat and FMIC, and won both for £180, which was a bargain! I had both fitted for £90 labour which i was chuffed about.  However i went in for a stage2 remap at rtech in the first week of Jan 2014, and the car had boost leaks all over the place.  So i booked it in at Dynodaze which they fixed all the faults on the car:

Boost leaks

Injector seals

Timing issue

N249/SAI removal

Parts and labour cost me £320 which werent too bad :-)

Once the work was completed dynodaze put the octy on the rollers and it made 215bhp,240lb tq :D

Today i had my stage2 map done and it made; 237bhp, 270lb tq!! Nick at rtech said the actuator held back power abit, and to also upgrade my exhaust, injectors to 225 injectors and upgrade the fuel pump to squeeze more power out of it. However im going to leave as is for now as im more than happy with how the car drives :)

Mods:

Toyosport FMIC

3" Decat

Rtech supersize TIP

S2000 air filter

N249/SAI removal

17" Santa Monicas (got rid of the 16" spiders)

Black and red Golf recaro bucket seat interior with armrest, (will upload pics)

Black carpet (need fitting)

White and Red Dash LED change (will upload pics)

Intended to do list for the future:

Get the car mop and polished

Polybush everything and upgrade roll bars

Upgrade exhaust, injectors and fuel pump

Coilovers

LSD

These will take ALOT of time to do as i dont have the funds to justify spending so much on the car at present time :(

A few pics of my pink octy lol

Lloyd, you're obsessed with carbon dipping lol

Out of interest what brand is the intercooler? Or is it home brew.
