Fault 01117 load wire

Featured Replies

I have seen a couple of threads on this but just wanted to clear some bits up.

Had my ignition on for a while yesterday while working on the car, went to start it and it wouldnt clear lack of voltage.

left it ten mins and started fine, got vcds on it and came up with 01117 load wire/intermittant.

Now there is no battery symbol when i turn key which indicates the load wire has snapped, but i dont get the symbol pop up after ten mins of driving that everyone says.

Is there different symptoms depending on which wire has snapped because car runs fine once started and starts a up first time, it was only when i had ignition on for about 15 min that it wouldnt start.

thanks

Your load sensor wiring is failing, possibly intermittent, replace it and all will be well.

I had this and my battery light didn't come on.

Couple of repair wires to extend the too short oem ones

and problem solved.
