Anyone changed a fuse yet ? Glovebox removal wows

Featured Replies

According to the handbook this all looks very simple, believe me it's not, perhaps because I was working in the freezing cold and the plastic was all very hard, but to get the glovebox  back into location all clipped back in, and aligning the brake rod to clip that back in was quite a fiasco to say the least. But as they say perhaps "practice makes perfect"

Why did you need to change a fuse panmat? I can't remember the last time I did one. Don't tell me the 'niggles' thread needs to include dodgy fuses.

For me it was just to gain access to the fuse box...... to get a ignition ON feed. Perhaps should have named the thread Glovebox removal wows

you are correct. it truly is a pain in the arse!  i had to get in there to wire up my dashcam

Panmat - your positive feed, were you using a repair wire or a fuse tap?

Same in the Leon... I had an issue where my drivers mirror indicators weren't working so had a look for the fuses... ended up taking it to the dealer and it was just a loose connection..... the seat manual doesn't have the correct RHD location,.... just giving a reverse of the Lhd

Panmat - is it a full size piggyback fuse or a mini one?

Youtube. Chris Horswill - changing a pollen/cabin filter (inc glovebox removal). Spot on.

This is the video referenced above in case anyone is wondering:

Personally, I still think unclipping the damper from the left hand side of the dashboard is a safer way to do it and it takes less than a minute to unclip the side panel and lift off the damper arm.
