Hi All, 

 

After loads of reading up and research to find the cheapest way of getting the best parts. I have just bought a genuine VR6 SACHS clutch kit for £66.99 brand new from car parts for less! Loads cheaper than even euro car parts!

 

Just waiting on the Darkside flywheel so all in will cost me £244.99 in vat for a kit that should cost £330 odd!

 

Worth doing your searching.

I got a G60 flywheel from a low mileage ABF engine - £25, and a nearly new vr6 clutch from Clive for £50 + Bolts £10 + release bearing £15.....£100 all in

Well i was debating getting a second hand flywheel... Will a abf flywheel work then?

Need :(

Mk2 1.8 G60/2.0 ABF enigne (Corrado/Ibiza/mk3 golf) even the 2.0 sharran are the same.

Sorry to be pedantic, 

 

But the Corrado 2.0 16v  is a 9a would that would fit too?

Looked at this,

 

After reading there feedback about thier clutches and flywheels... Flywheel aint genuine too. I thought for £245 for all genuine kit.

isnt it the ABF engine? in the 2.0 16v rado?

 

if not then the 9a is very similar to the 1.8KR (Basically G60 without the charger) so its a possibility 

 

 

Regarding the Ebay (Techniclutch) SMF conversion DO NOT touch it few members on here have had issues "Bowders"

Hi,

 

The 9a is a tall blocked kr, last of the Kjet injection engines. I know this as I transplanted a 1.8kr into my mk1 golf, looked into a 9a but at the point they were pricey as only the rado and teh passat had the 9a.

 

g60 engine is basically a DX code 1.8gti engine from a mk1 Golf. As the g60 is 8v. There are kits out there that combine a ABF and g60 and makes a supercharged 2.0 16v.

 

If anyone has a g60, ABF or 9A flyhweel lying around let me know, ill cancel the order
