Engine management light on. Fault code P0684, glow plug  control module, implausable signal.Anyone know where this module/ relay is located. Could this be glow plugs them selves, gone down.Car runs and starts faultlessly.Light is annoying,very annoying. Any ideas??? 

its to the right of your battery mate if you have a case on your battery it should be bolted on the side if not it will deffo be somewhere there.

i have the same problem with mine light came on an found out that one of the wires had come out the block, still not had it sorted yet and the eml does get very annoying lol hope you get it sorted

I never had to wait for glowplugs on my car lol just turn amd it starts first turn. Its weird. Unlike any car i know haha . But im not complaining

Yes Fletch101,mine starts first turn of the key,without any time for glow plugs to warm,no matter what the weather,but the yellow dash light is constantly on,and the computer says glow plug module implausable signal, Going to try" sean vrskid" suggestion, relay to right side of battery, seen this and it has about 4 wires coming off it,will give it a once over.     Heard a duff glow plug could put engine management light on????

Thanks Seanvrskid, I took the glow plug module off, from the right side of the battery,Me facing the engine.It looks brand new, and VW want £77 for the part, numbered  038907281c. On ebay the same numbered part but with a D at the end is readily available for £25. Has anyone had any expierience with this module.It is a nine pin fitting

Hello guitar man did you sort this problem I'm having the same issue did you order the part sorry to bump this thread but can't find any successful remedies regards Nathan
