Manifold Question

Featured Replies

Good Morning,

The manifold on the 1.8T (as you look at the car) bends off and down to the left, on some 1.8T engines the manifold bends off and down the the right i belive these cars have a FMIC as standard not a SMIC like the vrs. Can you interchange these manifiolds? so the manifold bends to the right and not the left?

Thank You for you time.

Joel

Inlet manifold I assume you're talking about.

Which 1.8t hav FMIC as standard?

I think most right hand inlet manifolds are on Audis.

The 1.8T's with the Thottle Body on on the passenger side in general have twin SMIC's but the Ibiza has the this arrangement and has a very tiny single SMIC.

After saying that though I can't answer your question.
