its just to keep the air directed at the rads but no major need for it

I can't really make it out in the picture- is it the rubbery thing? If yeah then it's a separator and guide for the radiator. Channels air into it but also stops rain and road crap bouncing off it and into the bumper areas where your fogs, and SMIC are. You can remove it and won't cause any running issues bar getting a dirtier and wetter inside of your bumper. Guys with FMIC probs removed it or cut into it depending on the size of their chillers

Looks like a plastic thing that sits all the way around the rad. Its broke at the right hand side (in the pic). Not rubber.

Probably still what i'm thinking of, most cars have them there
