VCDS: some explanation to a noob please

Featured Replies

Hi, i'd like to add the cornering light function to my citigo, ad i saw it is possible trough VCDS, but i have no idea how it is done, what cable to use, where to plug it and what software, is it something a complete noob can do without big risks of damaging the car? does it invalidate the warranty? i'd also like to have the function to close the glass roof when i lock my car, is it possible?

thanks.

See attached link for the official VCDS kit in the UK. http://www.gendan.co.uk/product_VCHU.html?gclid=CNjql73FobwCFa-WtAod_1IAzg

In the UK Skoda don't like anyone changing the settings of a car. Their statement is your car was delivered with the correct settings as specified for the country. Any changes could/may invalidate your warranty.

There are non genuine cables that are hacked to work with specific software versions. Use these is at your own risk.

Good reply Owens

Very helpful as always
