Well finally got a call from the garage today and it's done apparently.

 

Cost is a couple of quid short of £2k, so kept to their estimate!!! (not a surprise) - did ask for an itemised bill but I guess it is was it is.

 

All in all it has now been 8 weeks.

 

Looking forward to getting it back just hope they have done a good job.

Glad to hear you have got it repaired. Hope your happy with the work done by the garage. At least now you will hopefully have years of hassle free driving and you can enjoy the car again.

It's one of my favourites off this site, super stealthy OEM look. :-)
