Has anyone changed the gear Knob for another from the VAG range or anyone know the thread size? Wanting to change mine as I think there a bit boring !

Iv got a mk4 golf R line one on mine.. its not a thread m8.. its push fit + held on with a circlip :)

Mason (with the smooth purple fab) had and may still have a JDM style one.. was big + purple and looked very similar to something u might purchase in Ann Summers lol :D.. ill see if i can find a pic

That is massive !! I was thinking a little smaller than that haha ! You think I'll be able to put a thread on the gear stick? Most of them on eBay are for threaded gear knobs :/

Ye u might be able to thread it but its got an indent on it which is used to keep the knob straight.. so its not just a straight shaft.

if u pull the gaiter up u can see the shaft m8.. it just pulls up + theres a clip u just loosen off with a flat blade screwdriver to take the knob off. Its reversable u just crimp it back together :)
