Aftermarket headunit issues

Featured Replies

recently fitted a new headunit and for some reason it never saves the settings on it when i turn the car off and back on again. thought it was something wrong with the unit so took it back and got a completely different one, but i've still got the same problem.

anyone know how to get round this? probably missed something really stupid lol.

I can remember doing something to mine, there is 2 colour wires which need swapping over have you done that?

Red and Yellow, usually have bullet connectors on them, just switch them over and test.

I think i know which ones you mean, i'll have a look tonight. did you have the same problem and thats what you did to sort it then?

Yep, it's the same in most VAG's. They mix up the memory wires, that's why they usually have bullet connectors to quickly change them over:

Yep them are the ones I swapped over :)

Its the permanent live feed that your missing, a swap over on the wires as described above should do the trick.
