Replacing DMF on petrol vrs

I've got the uprated sachs clutch waiting to be fitted as soon as the oe one fully expires. Cars done 35k, shark 1 map, is it worth the extra £200 or so to swap out th he DMF for the single mass version? Nothing obviously wrong with the one in the car at the moment, as in no odd juddering or rattling, but the prospect of changing the whole lot again in 6 - 12 month time is not appealing. Am doing 30k a year, one year into a 3 yr pcp after which I'll buy it and run it to death.

Only heard of problems with the diesels

I would stay dmf, smf can be chattery and noisey even on a petrol

is it ok to put a smf on a car that has been designed to run on a dmf?

 

I know you can but doesn't it spread the stress elsewhere
