Fitting Stereo Back After fitting RCA Leads

Featured Replies

Right today I fitted my sub,amp and all leads, now after fitting the RCA leads to the back of the stereo, the stereo wont go all the way back in as the RCA's are touching whatever is behind the dash (Something to do with the heater I think)

Has anyone else come across this? if so how did you sort it?

My car is a 1998/99 Octavia

I did this on mine last weekend (2001 Octavia) and it is part of the plastic radio housing.

It is just a rear support for the standard radio.

I just squeezed a pair of tin snips in and chopped out the offending part.

With mine it was just a strip a few inches long and it hasn't caused ant problems.

If you shine a light in you can see it.
