Paint Code

Featured Replies

Hi all,

I'm looking to repair the stone chipping on my Fabia. Its a kind of metallic black

and the paint code in my logbook is FCM 9570. Is that 'Black Magic'? as they sell

Skoda Black Magic touch up pens at Halfrauds, would they be any good?

Thanks

Paul

You're best bet would be to call a Skoda dealership and buy from them. Then you know the paint will match and not be a copy which may not turn out quite right. I don't think the pens are that expensive at a dealership either.

All you need for the paint code is those four numbers " 9570 " for the black magic pearlecsent............ jim, car painter by trade (not by choice)

And its a darn sight cheaper than the paint I just laid out for, crikey ;)

If you have a few it might be worth getting a quote from Chips Away.

Theres quite a lot. Approximately 5 years worth!

BTW How much do you reckon chips away would cost? I know thats a bit of a silly question

without seeing how much damage there is etc.

I was going to have a go myself to try and save money, but Im willing to pay as long as it isn't ridiculous.

Thanks

Paul

To be honest is probably easier for them to respray the bonnet if there is lots of them.
